Power plant PS-90A
Tu-214 aircraft are equipped with up-to-date powerful and efficient PS-90A engines.

The PS-90A is a turbofan high by-pass ratio exhaust mixing engine with a common exhaust nozzle and a thrust reverser.

The engine design includes a number of technical solutions, aimed at providing high economy efficiency and weight perfection.

Aircraft Tu-214 powered with engines PS-90A fully complies with ICAO Chapter 3 Appendix 16 perceivable noise requirements as well as those of ICAO Appendix 16 (volume 2) concerning emission due to perfection of the engine design structure and selected noise absorbing devices.

Layout variants

Tu-214C3 - Converted

Tu-214C3 name means "cargo-converted-containerized".

The aircraft can transport up to 18 LD-3-45 containers at the main deck and up to 8 containers at the lower deck. It provides minimal conversion time from passenger to cargo variant.

Tu-214F - Freighter

Tu-214F is a cargo aircraft with maximum payload of 32 tons, that is loaded on the main deck through the big cargo door (3,405x2,200 mm). Standard containers and wide range of pallets can be used in the aircraft.

The type design allows installation of additional fuel tanks.
