“Ilyushin Finance Co.” leasing company and “Vladivostok Avia” Airlines signed a firm contract for 15 year financial leasing of two TU-204-300 passenger airplanes. Under this contract the airplanes will be delivered to the Operator in 2008.

Vladivostok Avia” started operation of TU-204-300 a/c in 2006. For the time being this operator uses 4 airplanes of such type. and now is considering possibility to extend further the fleet of such airplanes.

TU-204-300 a/c is a mid-long-range passenger aircraft – the version of TU-204-100 a/c with shortened fuselage and increased comfort level designed for 164 seats in economy class. TU-204-300 a/c is the first modern Russian two-engine passenger aircraft capable to perform long-range flights, for example from Vladivostok to Moscow or St-Petersburg without intermediate landing for re-fuelling. For passengers it means that flight time will be only 9 hours while for the operator it means significant costs decrease including fuel cost.

21 November, 2006 a new Supplement to Type Certificate for TO-214 a/c was issued. Changes were introduced to the aircraft Type design which allow to perform P-RNAV flight in Europe according to RNP-1 requirement. These changes introduction extends the aircraft capability significantly and increases its competitiveness. TU-214 a/c – is a mid-range passenger aircraft powered by PS-90A engines and designed for 210 passenger seats in economy class . TU-214 a/c are currently successfully operated by “Dalavia”, “Russia” and “KrassAir” airlines.

“Tupolev’ PSC will participate in the largest Airshow to be held from 31 October to 5 November, 2006 in Zhuhai (CPR). Long-standing relations are between Tupolev Design Bureau and Chinese People’s Republic which has operated “TU” airplanes successfully for a long period. To maintain this tradition now “Tupolev” is ready to offer new generation airliners to Chinese Operators. At present at Ulianovsk aircraft plant five TU-204-120CE airplanes are being manufactured the first off which will be delivered to Customer in the shortest time. Paying special attention to Chinese market “Tupolev” PSC will demonstrate its aircraft in Zhuhai as full y as possible. TU-204-300, TU-204C and TU-334-100. The entire TU-204/214 family, TU-334 short-range aircraft and other Tupolev products will be demonstrated.

TU-204-300 a/c to be presented at the Airshow – is a mid-long-range passenger aircraft designed to carry passengers, luggage and cargo for mid- and long flight ranges. High comfort level of the cabin allows the passengers to withstand easily the long flights. The high comfort level is due to advanced cabin design, low noise level, entertainment systems which offer the passenger to see video-films or to get information on main flight parameters.

TU-204-300 a/c is capable to operate from B and C airfields; the geography of its operation being significantly extended.

TU-204-300 aircraft are successfully operated by “Vladivostok Avia” Airlines which informed that even at passenger load factor 0.7 the aircraft is profitable on short, middle and long routes. Operating time of “Vladivostok Avia” TU-204-300 a/c fleet characterizes high level reliability and after-sale service. Thus in July, 2006 TU-204-300 a/c average operating time made more than 315 flight hours.

TU-204C is a mid-range cargo aircraft is based on TU-204-100 passenger aircraft. TU-204-C is designed to carry cargo of 30 000 kg in international class containers for the ranges up to 2400 km or cargo of 13800 kg for the range of 6800 km. TU-204C a/c is provided with cargo door at LH side; passenger cabin is replaced by main cargo deck provided with loading/unloading ANCRA System (USA). Cargo compartment area is equal to 164,4 m2. Under the main cargo deck tere are two baggage-cargo holds. The forward cargo hold area is equal to 14,7 m2, the aft one – 28,3 m2. TU-204C aircraft are used to carry cargo both within Russian Federation andd abroad.

TU-334-100 is a short-range passenger aircraft designed to carry up to 102 passengers for the range up to 3150 km. The cabin volume is not less and noise level is lower than that of foreign analogs will increase the comfort level of the TU-204-300 a/c passengers. The aircraft was certified to AP-25 Aviation Rules being in force in Russia which are similar to JAR-25 European Aviation Requirements.

Active negotiations are going to be held on promotion of new Tupolev airplanes to Asian market and the most advanced Tupolev aircraft and equipment will be demonstrated – this will allow the potential customers to familiarize closely with the advanced Russian airliners.

“Tupolev” PSC will participate in the largest International airspace exhibition ILA-206 which will be held in Berlin Airport Shenfeld from 16 to 21 May, 2006. The Exhibition held once per two years is mutually recognized demonstration of world achievements in aviation and cosmonautics. Close partnership relations connecting ILA with MAKS International Airspace show assign special status to participation of representatives of Russian Federation in this significant European event.

Russian delegation headed by manager of Russian Industrial Agency Mr. B.S. Aleshin will arrive to the capital of Germany on board of modern native airliner TU-204-200 (No. 64040) of “Vladivostok Avia” Airlines. This mid-long-range aircraft complying with the most severe European requirements to the vehicles of such class will be demonstrated to the Exhibition visitors at static display. This is the first visit of TU-204-300 to European Unit in the process of which the visitors will have opportunity to see high comfort level of this advanced airliner. At “Tupolev” PSC stand the airplanes TU-204-100, TU-204-120, TU-204-120C, TU-204C, TU-214 which are already known in Europe and new developments of our company. On the 16-th of May Tupolev’s press conference will be held in conference hall.

In the course of the Exhibition the negotiations will be held with a number of foreign partners of Tupolev whose equipment and vendor items are going to be installed on “TU” airplanes. Participation in the largest International Exhibition gives the company chance to enter all European aircraft markets , supports establishment of business links with leading representatives of worldwide aircraft industry.

14 May, 2006 maiden flight was performed by TU-204-120CE a/c (side number 64030) - the new representative of TU-204/214 family built at “Aviastar-SP”. Test pilots crew members S.V.Pronin (Captain), V.A.Minashkin (First Pilot) and E.B. Volkov (flight engineer) – fulfilled the flight program completely starting flight tests of this new airliner. In the nearest dates the aircraft is going to pass certification tests for Chinese and EASA Airworthiness requirements. Upon certification the aircraft will be transferred to Chinese airlines. In accordance with Contract Two TU-204-120CE aircraft will be delivered to China before the end of 2006 and three aircraft more – in 2007.

TU-204-120CE a/c – mid-range cargo aircraft powered by RB-211-535E4-B-75 engines. It was built on the basis of TU-204-120C a/c and is intended to carry cargo of 27000 kg mass in international class containers for the range of up to 3000 km and cargo of 10500 kg for the range of up to 7400 km. Following new technical approaches were realized in TU-204-120CE a/c:

- presentation of information to crew members and to ground personnel in English – “English cabin”;

- measuring units – British;

- ACARS (system to inform on in-flight systems and components condition);

- radio-communication and flight and navigation equipment was upgraded regarding installation of radio stations, weather radar, cockpit voice recording system and EGPWS.

It possible to transport two types of cargo within the cargo compartment:

- small size cargo can be carried on aircraft cargo pallets or in aircraft cargo containers;

- long-size bulky cargo can be carried by use the equipment installed on the pallets.

TU-204-120CE a/c completely meets all Eurocontrol requirements including requirements to safety level, community noise and toxic agents emission level and crew members comfort level. TU-204-120CE aircraft are produced by “Aviastar-SP” CSC.

21 March, 2006 was 10 years from the date of TU-214 maiden flight . TU-214 is mid-range passenger airplane powered by PS-90A engines; is intended to carry up to 210 passengers in economy class (seat pitch is equal to 810 mm). TU-214 is a version of TU-204-100 airplane with increased payload, take-off weight and flight range. In contrast to TU-204-100 the airplane TU-214 has enlarged baggage compartments and baggage doors designed to receive LDS-46(45) International standard containers. The airplane is provided with updated strengthened landing gear. Set of airborne equipment was changed.

Layouts of TU-214 passenger compartment can b customized and shall provide maximal comfort level for passengers.

The aircraft assembled at KAPO n.a. Gorbunov (Kazan) performed its first flight 21 March, 1996. In spite of complicated economical situation i Russia TUPOLEV Design Bureau in co-operation with Kazan aircraft plant worked intensively at the aircraft certification and mastering serial production of the new passenger airplane. In 1997 Certificate was issued for the aircraft with tale-off weight up to 103 t. In 1998 certification tests were launched` for TU-214 a/c with increase up to 110.75 t take-off weight. These certification tests were competed successfully 29 December, 2000. TU-214 was granted with Type Certificate according to new Russian Aviation Standards AP-25 which are similar to European and American Aviation Standards. TU-214 became the first Russian airplane which was certified to AP-25 Standards. The airplane complies completely with all current European Standards on community noise and emission level . The airplane equipment complies with all current ICAO and Eurocontrol requirements.

Starting from 4 July, 2001 U-214 airplanes have been successfully operated by FGUP “Dalavia”, State Transport Company “Russia”, ‘KrassAir”. The airplanes perform passenger transportation on domestic and international routes providing flight time up to 360 hours per month. During first 9 months of operation the airplane with side number 64508 of “KrassAir” airlines performed 453 flights, which total duration is equal to 2293 hours.

For the time being two TU-214 a/c more are near transferee to customers. Next airplane wit side number 64512 will be transferred to FGUP “Dalavia” . The airplane with side number 64509 is intended for “Transaero” airlines which has never operated Russian aircraft before. Totally 10 TU-214 airplanes are going to be delivered to “Transaero”.

According to State order “Tupolev” PSC and KAPO n.a. Gorbunov are intensively busy on TU-214 modifications designed for special tasks. These airplanes are as follows: TU-214 OH – “Open Skies” – the aircraft designed for environment monitoring; TU-214 a/c with VIP-compartment; and also airplanes for demands of the Government of the Russian Federation.

New Russian Airliner TU-204-300 performed its first flight on the route Vladivostok-Khanoy. On Friday it landed in the capital airport “Noybay”.

According to General representative of “Vladivostok Avia” airlines in Vietnam, Igor Belykh, it was an additional flight because of traffic flow increase. He believed that in the nearest future aircraft of this class will perform regular flights on the route Vladivostok – Khanoy.

TU-204-300 a/c uses new layout of passenger compartment improving passenger comfort level during long-term flights; interior is also improved ,- ITAR TASS informed.

According to Igor Belykh the airliners was certified to all international standards and meets the most advanced requirements.

25 December the next TU-204-300 a/c built at Ulianovsk aircraft plant “Aviastar-SP” was delivered to “Vladivostok Avia’ airline. The new airliner is the forth TU-204-300 added to the fleet of this largest carrier in Far East in current year. The aircraft with side number RA64040 has finalized the entire package of ground and flight tests and in the shortest time will start carrying passengers in domestic and international routes of ‘Vladivostok Avia” airlines.

Launching TU-204-300 a/c into operation allowed the airline to offer its customers new non-stop flights Vladivostok – Moscow and Vladivostok – St.Petersburg decreasing flight time between these cities up to 9 hours. Comfort level provided by the new TUPOLEV’s airliners makes long-range flights between Far East and European part of Russia easier for passengers. TU-204-300 a/c are successfully operated in short-range routes also, for example, from Vladivostok to Seoul, Bousan or Niigata.

The Vladivostok Airline is currently operating TU-204-300 a/c already. In Novemeber, 2005 maximal operating time of TU-204-300 reached 347 F.H. and average operating time relating to the flee made 280 F.H. Average number of flights is more than 1,3 per day. Having seen economical expediency of TU-204-300 a/c operation “Vladivostok Avia” airlines ahs ordered two aircraft more of this type. New machines are going to be delivered to the airline during the period 2006-2007.

Within the works under the Contract on delivery of five TU-204-120CE a/ by Rolls-Royce engines to Chinese People’s Republic the aircraft is being currently validating by Chinese Aviation Authorities. It is necessary to validate the aircraft (to get the Chinese approval of Russian Airworthiness Certificate) to start Russian Airliners operation in CPR. TU-204-300 a/c has been certified to Russian National Aviation Standards AP-25 which are similar to European and American aviation standards.

In December in Moscow the first meeting of CPR Aviation Authority Validation Team (CAAC) with TUPOLEV PSC specialists. In the course of two week joint work Chinese Aviation Authorities specialists were provided with the materials required to take a decision on Chinese Airworthiness Certificate issue to the aircraft of Russian production. Chinese specialists familiarized in details with man structural components and systems of the aircraft with appreciation at high value. In the course of the meeting the plan of further activities was elaborated and list of the documents to be provided to Chinese Party was agreed. In total two general meetings are going to be held and several separate negotiations on particular systems and trends which will result in permission for TU-204-120CE operation by Chinese airlines within Chinese People’s Republic.

“Perm Motor Plant” PSC supplied to Kazan aviation production corporation n.a.Gorbunov (KAPO) two new PS-90A engines. They will be installed on the first TU-214 aircraft to “Transaero” Airline. This information was given by CompanONline with reference to press service of “Perm Motor Palnt”.

“Transaero” and “Finance Leasing Company” PSC (FLC)signed contract for leasing of 10 passenger TU-214 a/c of KAPO production during 15 years. These airliners are going to be added to the airline’s fleet in 2006-2007.

Till late 2005 “Perm Motor Plant” is going to sign contract with FLC on delivery of 6 more new PS-90A engines. Totally the leasing Company will require 20 new engines without reserves. The aircraft will be produced with standard set of equipment and are designed for 210 passenger seats.

Specialists believe that TU-214 a/c is one of the most successful machines. This airliners has no limitations on engine noise, emission levels and navigation equipment system for flights over Europe and USA territory.

Currently in Russia 8 TU-214 a/c are being operated by “Dalavia” a/l (4 a/c), “Crassair” a/l (1 a/c) and “Russia” State Transport Company (3 a/c).
